After first glance, you notice this Strat-type by Gene Baker isn't quite another S config with its 3x3 headstock, neck-thru design and even a 24.625" scale (not that you'd notice scale length). Still, the iconic pickguard and body shape create an initial deception; only broken by a few more takes and some snooping around.
Maybe I should start featuring PRS 305's now too!
Anyhow, Baker's B3 series is an interesting mix of classic solid body with contemporary features. It's Buzz Feiten equipped with Lollar HSS pickups, Gotoh bridge and Sperzels. Neck is standard "C" with 6105's in a 12" radius. But wait-- the neck and body are mahogany! It may be chambered, but I'm not sure, so follow that up yourself, ok. Baker's Fine Tuned Instruments website is about as cryptic as it can get.
