Texas Specials w/Tonestyler controlThe STRATosphere eBay Store sells loaded Eric Johnson pickguards (upper photo). The most time and tweaking with the EJ Strat design went into the pickup configuration. A reliable source told me they went through 17 different configs on the new EJ Rosewood before arriving back at the original EJ config! In other words, all EJ pickup configs are the same-- both the maple slab and RW models currently utilize the same pickups.
Metal Shop Music specializes in prewired Lindy Fralin pickguard configs. Check out their "Loaded Pickguards" link for the full meal deal. MSM also stocks loaded "Gypsy" Strat pickguards with the reverse angle bridge pickup a la Hendrix.
Tricked Out Guitar is custom configuring pickguards with Stellartone Tonestyler tone controls (lower photo). The config shown includes Fender Custom Shop Texas Specials. The Tonestyler is not a potentiometer per se', but a smooth rotary switch loaded with tiny chip capacitors, similar to audio gear tone controls.
