Besides an alum of Prince's New Power Generation band, Kat has worked and performed with dozens of noteables and legends as a session player and touring musician, as well as TV & film scoring gigs. She also fronts her band Colour Kommentary. Busy gal.
In the video link below from NAMM, Kat gets "Jimi with it" at the Hughes & Kettner booth. It's so cool to see a chick doin' the main riff from Band of Gypsies' "Who Knows?"! Then she casually mentions, "...Some girls like shoes, I like pedals...".
The tune samples at her myspace have a funky, Miles-like, Ernie Isley does Jimi kinda feel. I guess the answer to "Who's That Lady?" and "Who Knows?" is Kat Dyson--with her Strat!!!
